Mistake #1. Heel Striking
Mistake #2. Poor Mobility In The Hips
Mistake #3. Tense Upper Body
- Relax your upper body and maintain the correct posture to ensure that you are carrying your arms properly
- Be sure not to let your elbows drop below 90 degrees in the backswing, as this will only waste energy.
- Each time you pass a mile marker, raise your shoulders to your ears and then drop them back down into a relaxed position. This way, you can remind your body to stay in control.
- Add the " Hands-on Head " drill to your training. Begin by interlocking your hands over your head. Make sure to keep your core stable and straight while keeping your hips and shoulders relaxed. Jog for a few minutes. This drill will help you eliminate crisscrossed-arm carriage and left-to-right hip movements.
